Americana Rice Krispy Treats
3 Tbsp butter (melted)
6 cups puffed rice cereal
10 oz. bag mini marshmallows
2 squares almond bark
blue food coloring
red food coloring
red, white & blue candies
patriotic sprinkles
In a saucepan over low heat melt the butter. Add the marshmallows; stirring often until the marshmallows are melted. Add the cereal and combine well. Scoop mixture into a greased 9X13 dish. Set aside. In 2 separate microwave safe bowls, add one square of bark to each bowl. Melt bark. Add a couple drops of blue dye to one bowl and a couple drops of red dye to the other bowl. Blend well. With the tines of a fork spatter and splash the krispy’s with the melted bark. Garnish with candies. Cool in the refrigerator.
