Canning Summer’s Harvest
Whether its your own backyard garden, a roadside produce stand or the farmers market…fresh fruits and veggies are a summer time must. This summer’s bounty will be winter’s gain. Canning insures when its cold outside and the snow is on the ground; fruits and vegetables harvested in the hot summer heat will be enjoyed on a cold winters day.
So far this summer I’ve canned peaches, pears, green beans, pickles, banana peppers and preserves.
