The difference between my “hot ham & cheese” sandwich & the others is the delicious sauce baked on the top. You have to try this sauce!
Hot Ham & Cheese (with a special baked on sauce)
8 rolls …
8 Swiss cheese slices
16 deli ham slices
1/2 stick butter (melted)
1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
1 Tbsp. onion (minced)
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice rolls. Layer each roll with one slice of cheese & two slices of ham. In a bowl, combine the remaining 5 ingredients. Using a kitchen brush slather (be generous) the tops of the rolls with the sauce mixture. Bake 10 minutes.
(Note: store leftover sauce in a container with a lid in the frig.)
