I’ve noticed lately all the rage over the savory taste of bacon combined with the sweet taste of maple. So of course I had to give it a try. Yep…it’s makes for a great combination!

Maple Glazed & Bacon Sugar Cookies

sugar cookie dough
3-4 strips bacon
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. maple extract

In a skillet, fry bacon crisp, drain on a paper towel & set aside. Make a batch of your favorite sugar cookie dough from scratch (or a box mix will work.) Bake & cool cookies completely. In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk & extract. (Add the milk 1 tsp. at a time until the desired consistency.) Drizzle the glaze over cooled cookies & top with crumbled bacon pieces.
